General description

Controlled pore glass is used as multipurpose support material since it possess high surface area and loading capacity, low relative cost, ease of surface derivatization, high--pressure applicability, and an invariable, rigid structure that withstands most solvent systems. It is used as immobilization matrix in packed-bed reactors. The glass beads undergo aminopropylation in nitric acid and (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) APES solution to form aminopropyl modified CPG.

Application

Controlled Pore Glass, aminopropyl modified may be used in separation media for TLC, paper and LPL chromatography.
