General description

Bisphenol F diglycidyl ether (BFDGE) is a stabilizing compound, commonly used as a precursor in the production of epoxy resins and as an additive in organosol resins. It is reported to be used as a material for interior coating of food cans.

Application

Bisphenol F diglycidyl ether may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in the following:
  • Canned food and beverages using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) and high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD).
  • Wastewaters using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
