General description

Ready-to-use disposable columns designed to quickly and efficiently remove unincorporated precursors from labeled DNA. Quick Spin columns are designed for use in low-speed, swinging-bucket centrifuges.Quick Spin Columns are produced with material shown to have high recovery of radiolabeled DNA (≥90%).

  • All the tedious, time-consuming steps involved in preparing columns have already been performed. The columns are pre-packed, pre-swollen, and quality tested to ensure maximal retention of unincorporated nucleotides (≥99%).

Contents
Pre-packed, pre-swollen, pre-spun columns.
Suspension of Sephadex G-50 in STE buffer (10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 1 mM EDTA, 100 mM NaCl).

Application

Remove unincorporated precursors from DNA labeled by nick translation, end labeling, polymerization reactions, and other labeling techniques.
Use the highly purified radiolabeled DNA in Southern blotting and other downstream applications.

Features and Benefits

  • Save time and effort with ready-to-use columns.
  • Increase yields of nucleic acid in less time and with fewer steps.
  • Ensure optimal performance and reproducibility with quality tested columns:
a)High recovery of radiolabeled DNA
b)Maximum retention of unincorporated nucleotides
c)Absence of DNases

Quality

DNases are not detected, according to the current Quality Control procedures.
