General description

ATP is a 100mM solution of the lithium salt (pH 7).

Application

ATP, lithium salt has been used as a component in:
  • loading buffer[1]
  • in vitro transcription reaction mixture[2]
  • ligation mix[3]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is a central metabolite, which acts as an energy transfer molecule, a phosphate donor and a signaling molecule inside the cells.[4] This extracellular signaling molecule also serves as a neurotransmitter in peripheral and central nervous systems. In the peripheral nervous system, ATP participates in chemical transmission.[5]

Pre-miRNA-377 is a hairpin-shaped regulatory RNA associated with heart failure. Here, we use single-molecule optical tweezers to unzip pre-miRNA-377 and study its stability and dynamics. We show that magnesium ions have a strong stabilizing effect, and that sodium ions stabilize
