General description

The sterile 13 mm Millex®-LG unit is a syringe-operated filter unit for the sterilization of solvent or aqueous solutions (column eluates, tissue culture additives, HPLC samples, etc.) in volumes of 10 mL. The solvent-resistant, single-use Millex-LG unit incorporates the 0.2 μm hydrophilic PTFE membrane. Millex-LG filter unit is suitable for use as a syringe filter to sterilize and ultraclean solutions.

Application

Millex®-LG, 0.20 μm has been used:
  • in compound preparation in anhydrous dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) for in vitro experiments
  • as an organic solvent-resistant filter to prepare sterile 3,3′-dioctadecyloxacarbocyanine perchlorate (DiO) ethanol solution
  • to remove lipid aggregates in the preparation of small unilamellar vesicles (SUVs)

Macrophage phagocytosis can be triggered by diverse receptor-ligand interactions to clear pathogens and dead cells from a host. Many ways of assaying phagocytosis exist that utilize a variety of phagocytic targets with different combinations of receptor-ligand interactions, making comparisons difficult.

Mitochondrial fission is important in physiological processes, including coordination of mitochondrial and nuclear division during mitosis, and pathologic processes, such as the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) during cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury (IR). Mitochondrial fission is mainly mediated by dynamin-related
