General description

Filter Code: RW03
Filter Type: Screen filter
Reinforced prefilter membranes can be used to remove contaminants from a variety of liquids and gases. The filters have a high dirt-holding capacity and a low pressure drop, which makes them ideally suited for reducing contaminant levels in advance of sterilizing-grade filters. Unlike traditional prefilter materials that contain asbestos or fiberglass, our reinforced prefilter membranes are made from non-shedding materials. These filters retain contaminants on the surface of the cellulose membrane.

Features & Benefits:
•Prefilter with high dirt-loading capacity for greater throughput
•Non-shedding substrate will not unload fibers downstream

Applications:
Prefiltration Ahead of Sterilizing-Grade Filters

Application

Prefiltration before 0.22 μm membrane filtration

Other Notes

Directions for Use

  • Organism Retention: Microorganism
  • Mode of Action: Filtration (size exclusion)
  • Application: General laboratory filtration
  • Intended Use: Retention or removal of biological contaminants
  • Instructions for Use: Sterilizing filtration of a liquid through a membrane with a 0.2 μm (or smaller) pore size effectively removes biological contaminants, including bacteria, mold and yeast. For the selective retention of larger biological contaminents, liquid filtration through membranes with 0.45 μm (or larger) pore sizes may be used to trap and support microorganism growth for subsequent culture and analysis
  • Storage Statement: Store in dry location away from heat source
  • Disposal Statement: Dispose of in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
