Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 14 analytes in rat serum, plasma, or cell culture supernantants.

Analytes Included: Amylin (active), C-Peptide 2, Ghrelin (active), GIP (total), GLP-1 (active), GLP-1 (total), Glucagon, IL-6, Insulin, Leptin, MCP-1/CCL2, Pancreatic Polypeptide (PP), PYY (total), Secretin, TNFα Note: GLP-1 (Active) and GLP-1 (Total) cannot be run together in the same assay. Protease inhibitors should be added upon collection of samples.

Assay Characteristics: Refer to the assay protocol for details on cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.

Features and Benefits

Features:

  • Measures 15 metabolic and appetite-related biomarkers in one assay
  • Suitable for serum, plasma, and tissue lysates
  • High sensitivity and specificity for low-abundance hormones
  • Multiplex format reduces sample volume and assay time
Benefits:

  • Enables comprehensive profiling of metabolic and inflammatory pathways
  • Supports research in obesity, diabetes, and energy regulation
  • Saves time and resources compared to single-analyte assays
  • Provides reliable data for rodent model studies

General description

This panel includes key hormones and cytokines involved in regulating glucose metabolism, appetite, insulin signaling, and inflammatory responses. Analytes such as insulin, leptin, ghrelin, GLP-1, and glucagon play central roles in energy balance and metabolic homeostasis, while cytokines like IL-6 and TNFα provide insight into inflammation-linked metabolic dysfunction. Measuring these biomarkers supports research in obesity, diabetes, appetite regulation, and metabolic syndrome in rodent models.
