General description
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) is a tumor associated antigen with a molecular weight of 34 kD. PSA is found in normal prostatic epithelial lining cells of the ducts and acini, as well as in primary and metastatic prostate carcinoma cells. Measurement of the level of PSA in male blood can help to support the diagnosis of prostate cancer. In addition to prostate cancer, a number of benign (not cancerous) conditions can cause male PSA levels to rise.
Specificity
Specific for free PSA and PSA-ACT (PSA-alpha 1-antichymotrypsin) complex. No cross reactivity with human kallikrein and ACT
Immunogen
corresponding to Human Prostate specific antigen.
Application
Detect Prostate specific antigen using this mouse monoclonal Anti-PSA (10mg) KC, Cat. No. MABX5523-10KC, validated for use in Lateral Flow Assay and ELISA.
