Gene Information
mouse ... Myod1(17927)
General description
Myoblast determination protein 1 (MyoD1) is a myogenic transcription factor required for the growth, repair, and regeneration of muscle cells. It induces differentiation of myoblast cells into multinucleated myotubules, activating genes and proteins involved in cell cycle arrest, and differentiation. MyoD1 may also control proliferation and homeostasis during embryogenesis, in the absence of Myf5.
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to mouse MyoD.
Application
Detect MyoD using this Anti-MyoD Antibody, clone 5F11 validated for use in Western Blotting, ICC.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A representative lot detected MyoD in C2C12 cells.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are the likely precursors of multiple lines of mesenchymal cells. The existence of bona fide MSCs with self-renewal capacity and differentiation potential into all mesenchymal lineages, however, has been unclear because of the lack of MSC-specific

Skeletal muscle regeneration and long term maintenance is directly link to the balance between self-renewal and differentiation of resident adult stem cells known as satellite cells. In turn, satellite cell fate is influenced by a functional interaction between the transcription

Stiffness gradient hydrogels are a useful platform for studying mechanical interactions between cells and their surrounding environments. Here, we developed linear stiffness gradient hydrogels by controlling the polymerization of gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) via differential UV penetration with a gradient photomask.
