General description

Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 (S1PR5 or S1P5), otherwise known as EDG8, is a G-protein coupled receptor which is activated by the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). It is coupled to Gi/0 alpha and G12 signaling pathways. S1P5 is highly abundant in the brain, particularly in the corpus callosum, but S1P5 has also been detected in the spleen, placenta, lung, aorta, and peripheral blood leukocytes. In the brain, it regulates the transformation of radial glial cells into astrocytes, and the migration of oligodendrocyte precursor cells during development.

Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 (S1P5).

Application

Detect Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 (S1P5) using this Anti-Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 (S1P5) Antibody, clone 13F9.1 validated for use in Western Blotting & IHC.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:300 dilution from a representative lot detected Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 in normal human cerebellum and normal placenta tissue.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blot in Daudi cell lysate.

Western Blot Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 in 10 µg of Daudi cell lysate.
