General description
Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 2 (S1PR2), otherwise known as EDG5, is a ubiquitous G-protein coupled receptor for lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). It is coupled to Gi, G12/13, and Gq pathways to regulate a number of second messengers and effector molecules, including cAMP, PLC, MAPK, RhoA, and Rac. S1PR2 mediates the effects of S1P on cell motility and embryonic development, among other cellular processes.
~35 kDa observed
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to the cytoplasmic domain of human S1PR2/EDG5.
Application

Acid ceramidase (AC) is overexpressed in most prostate tumors and confers oncogenic phenotypes to prostate cancer cells. AC modulates the cellular balance between ceramide, sphingosine and sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). These bioactive sphingolipids have diverse, powerful and often oppositional impacts on

C5a plays a crucial role in anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-mediated neutrophil recruitment and activation. Our previous studies found that the interaction between sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) and C5a plays an important role in the ANCA-mediated activation of neutrophils. In the current study
