General description

Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 2 (S1PR2), otherwise known as EDG5, is a ubiquitous G-protein coupled receptor for lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). It is coupled to Gi, G12/13, and Gq pathways to regulate a number of second messengers and effector molecules, including cAMP, PLC, MAPK, RhoA, and Rac. S1PR2 mediates the effects of S1P on cell motility and embryonic development, among other cellular processes.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes the cytoplasmic domain of S1PR2/EDG5.

Immunogen

GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to the cytoplasmic domain of human S1PR2/EDG5.

Application

Anti-S1PR2/EDG5 Antibody, clone 6E8.1 detects level of S1PR2/EDG5 & has been published & validated for use in Western Blotting, IHC(P).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot detected S1PR2/EDG5 in human tonsil, liver, colorectal cancer tissues.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blot in human liver tissue lysate.

Western Blot Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected S1PR2/EDG5 in 10 mg of human liver tissue lysate.

Acid ceramidase (AC) is overexpressed in most prostate tumors and confers oncogenic phenotypes to prostate cancer cells. AC modulates the cellular balance between ceramide, sphingosine and sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). These bioactive sphingolipids have diverse, powerful and often oppositional impacts on

C5a plays a crucial role in anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-mediated neutrophil recruitment and activation. Our previous studies found that the interaction between sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) and C5a plays an important role in the ANCA-mediated activation of neutrophils. In the current study
