Specificity

Urokinase Plasminogen Acitivator is a serine protease (SERPIN) that converts plasminogen into the active protease plasmin. uPA is secreted from cells in as the inactive 52 kDa single chain precursor which is activated into the two chain form consisting of an alpha and beta chain.MAB7774 is specific for Human uPA, other species not tested.
