The European journal of neuroscience, 46(2), 1790-1804 (2017-06-01)
Electrical synapses formed by connexin36 (Cx36)-containing gap junctions between interneurons in the cerebellar cortex have been well characterized, including those formed between basket cells and between Golgi cells, and there is gene reporter-based evidence for the expression of connexin45 (Cx45)
Gastroenterology, 128(2), 433-448 (2005-02-03)
Gap junctional communication was studied in quiescent and activated hepatic stellate cells. Connexin expression and intercellular dye transfer were studied in rat hepatic stellate cells in culture and in vivo. Protein expression of connexin 43 was up-regulated in activated hepatic

The vertebrate retina is a distinctly laminar structure. Functionally, the inner plexiform layer, in which bipolar cells synapse onto amacrine and ganglion cells, is subdivided into two sublaminae. Cells that depolarize at light offset ramify in sublamina a; those that
The American journal of pathology, 182(4), 1337-1346 (2013-02-19)
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common joint disease and involves progressive degeneration of articular cartilage. The aim of this study was to investigate if chondrocytes from human articular cartilage express gap junction proteins called connexins (Cxs). We show that human
