General description

Most membrane for protein blotting is provided as 25 to 30 cm-wide rolls or as cut sheets at a specific size. Rolls offer good flexibility, but require extra effort and time to cut sheets to the specific size required. Cut sheets offer convenience with extra expense and reduced flexibility. The majority of users who perform Western blotting use 2 standard sizes.

  • Mini-blots: 7 x 8.5 cm
  • Midi-blots: 13.5 x 8.5 cm
The Immobilon® NOW Dispenser with the associated 8.5 cm blotting membrane rolls offers the flexibility of standard rolls with much of the convenience of cut sheets. NOW transfer membrane rolls are 8.5 cm wide. This means that means that standard size blots can be produced with single cut from the roll with no waste.

The Immobilon NOW Dispenser works with all four Immobilon PVDF transfer membranes.
  • Immobilon-P, Roll for NOW Dispenser: IPVH85R
  • Immobilon-E, Roll for NOW Dispenser: IEVH85R
  • Immobilon-FL, Roll for NOW Dispenser: IPFL85R
  • Immobilon-PSQ, Roll for NOW Dispenser: ISEQ85R
The Immobilon NOW Dispenser is ideal for safe storage and convenient use of 8.5 cm wide rolls of transfer membrane for Western blotting. With this device, membrane can be efficiently cut to standard sizes for mini- and midi-blots with no waste.

NOW includes NEW Format for our popular Immobilon®-NC Transfer Membrane. - Immobilon-NC, Roll for NOW Dispenser: HATF85R
