General description

The EZ-FIT® filtration unit is a single-use filtration device made of white, gridded, and mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane with a blue base integrating a cellulose support pad. It provides a safe and fast way of performing membrane filtration by avoiding the exposure to the risks of microbiological analysis.

The filtration units are e-beam irrated, a vented lid covers the sample throughout filtration, and a 360° rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area during membrane transfer, to protect samples from contamination while ensuring reliable microbial enumeration results.

The EZ-FIT® Azure feature makes the EZ-FIT® filtration unit even more ergonomic and convenient with transparent funnel and all-around filling level indicators for an easy filling from any angle. The innovative funnel assembly design prevents any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane.

The blue units provide the extra flexibility of either transferring the membrane to an agar plate or converting the device into a Petri dish by adding the liquid media, after filtration.

The filtration units conform to international standards and minimize sample residue. The units can be stacked to save the work area. This disposable device is designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT® Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT® Filtration heads.

Application

The EZ-FIT® filtration units are used in microbiological analysis and bioburden testing of liquid samples such as in process and final product samples in beverages, pharmaceuticals and water. These products are also used in industrial QC and water monitoring.
