This antibody is useful for studies of the role of vinculin in platelet activation. Vinculin (Ab-1) exhibits membrane and cytoplasmic staining when used in immunohistochemistry. For staining of formalin-fixed paraffin sections, boil in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Antibody should be titrated for optimal results in individual systems.

Nitric Oxide Circumvents Virus-Mediated Metabolic Regulation during Human Cytomegalovirus Infection.
mBio, 11(6) (2020-12-17)
Nitric oxide is a versatile and critical effector molecule that can modulate many cellular functions. Although recognized as a regulator of infections, the inhibitory mechanism of nitric oxide against human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) replication remains elusive. We demonstrate that nitric oxide

There is a sex difference in the risk of ischemic acute kidney injury (AKI), and estrogen mediates the protective effect of female sex. We previously demonstrated that preprocedural chronic restoration of physiologic estrogen to ovariectomized female mice ameliorated AKI after

Human papillomavirus (HPV) associated squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck region (HPV+ HNSCCs) harbor diverging biological features as compared to classical noxa-induced (HPV-) HNSCC. One striking difference between subtypes is that the tumor suppressor gene TP53 is usually

Expression of the class IIa HDACs is frequently altered in different human cancers. In mouse models these transcriptional repressors can trigger transformation, acting as bona fide oncogenes. Whether class IIa HDACs also exhibit transforming activities in human cells is currently

The p53 tumor suppressor pathway is inactivated in cancer either via direct mutation or via deregulation of upstream regulators or downstream effectors. P53 mutations are rare in uveal melanoma. Here we investigated the role of the p53 inhibitor Hdmx in
