General description
Histone demethylase UTX is also known as Lysine-specific demethylase 6A, Ubiquitously-transcribed TPR protein on the X chromosome, and Ubiquitously-transcribed X chromosome tetratricopeptide repeat protein. UTX is a histone demethylase that specifically demethylates trimethylated and dimethylated but not monomethylated histone H3 ′Lys-27′. UTX is involved in regulation of posterior development, and defects can cause Kabuki syndrome type 2 (KABUK2)
Specificity
Other homologies: Canine (99% sequence homology) and Bovine (96% sequence homology).
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human UTX.
Application
Detect Histone demethylase UTX using this rabbit polyclonal antibody, Anti-UTX Antibody validated for use in western blotting & ICC.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected UTX in HeLa, A431, and 3T3 cells.

Neural stem cell (NSC) proliferation and differentiation in the developing brain is a complex process precisely regulated by intrinsic and extrinsic signals. Although epigenetic modification has been reportedly involved in the regulation of the cerebral cortex, whether UTX, an H3K27me3

Despite showing promise against PIK3CA-mutant breast cancers in preclinical studies, PI3K/AKT pathway inhibitors demonstrate limited clinical efficacy as monotherapy. Here, we found that histone H3K27me3 demethylase KDM6B-targeted IGFBP5 expression provides a protective mechanism for PI3K/AKT inhibitor-induced apoptosis in breast cancer
