Gene Information

General description

Forkhead box M1 (FOXM1), also named HNF-3, HFH-11 or Trident, belongs to a superfamily of Fox transcription factors. FOXM1 is strongly associated with cell proliferation and plays an important role in cell cycle progression by regulating both G1/S and G2/M phases. FOXM1 is also involved in DNA damage repair, angiogenesis, apoptosis, and tissue regeneration. Recently, crucial roles of this transcription factor were found in the development and progression of many cancers including colorectal, lung, prostate, liver and breast cancer. FOXM1 levels are significantly higher and associated with tumor grade in most human tumors, rendering it a potential target of cancer diagnosis and therapies.

Specificity

This antibody is expected to detect three known isoforms of FOXM1 based upon immunogen design.

Immunogen

Epitope: Near C-terminus
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to a region near the C-terminus of human FOXM1.

Application

Anti-FOXM1 Antibody is an antibody against FOXM1 for use in western blotting, IHC & IP.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected FOXM1 in human testis tissue.
