Gene Information
human ... HCN1(348980)
Specificity
Recognizes HCN-1 (Hyperpolarization-Activated Cyclic Nucleotide-Gated Potassium Channel 1, HAC2, BCNG1). The epitope does not share homology with any other known proteins.
SPECIES REACTIVITIES: It is expected that the antibody will also react with mouse (18/19) and possibly rabbit (16/19) due to sequence homology. Other species have not been tested.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding amino acids 6-24 of rat HCN-1 (Accession number AAF62173).
Application
Anti-HCN1 Antibody is an antibody against HCN1 for use in IH & WB.

Physical form
Lyophilized from phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. Reconstitute with 50 μL of sterile deionized water. Centrifuge antibody preparation before use (10,000 xg for 5 min).
Storage and Stability
Maintain lyophilized material at -20°C for up to 12 months after date of receipt. After reconstitution maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Analysis Note
Control
CONTROL ANTIGEN: Included free of charge with the antibody is 40 μg of control antigen. The stock solution of the antigen can be made up using 100 μL of sterile distilled water. For negative control, preincubate 1 μg of peptide with 1 μg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.

Molecular neurodegeneration, 7, 50-50 (2012-10-05)
One of the best-characterized causative factors of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the generation of amyloid-β peptide (Aβ). AD subjects are at high risk of epileptic seizures accompanied by aberrant neuronal excitability, which in itself enhances Aβ generation. However, the molecular

Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels generate a pacemaking current, I(h), which regulates neuronal excitability and oscillatory activity in the brain. Although all four HCN isoforms are expressed in the brain, the functional contribution of HCN3 is unknown. Using immunohistochemistry, confocal

Cardiac mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) activation triggers adverse cardiovascular events that could be efficiently prevented by mineralocorticoid antagonists. To gain insights into the pathophysiological role of MR function, we established embryonic stem (ES) cell lines from blastocysts of transgenic mice overexpressing

Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels play essential roles in various hippocampal functions, including regulation of long-term potentiation, synaptic plasticity, and hippocampal-dependent cognitive process. The objective of this study was to investigate age-related changes in HCN1 and HCN2 protein expressions in
