Specificity

Recognizes Endothelin Receptor B (ET-B). The immunogen sequence is specific for ET-B and is not present in any other known protein.

SPECIES REACTIVITIES: The immunogen sequence is identical in all known vertebrate proteins. Reactivity with other species has not been confirmed.

Immunogen

Purified peptide corresponding to amino acids 298-314 of the rat Endothelin Receptor B (Accession P21451).

Application

Anti-Endothelin Receptor B Antibody detects level of Endothelin Receptor B & has been published & validated for use in IH & WB.

Western blot: 1:200 using ECL on rat brain membranes.

Immunohistochemistry on rat brain sections.

Dilutions should be made using a carrier protein such as BSA (1-3%)

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Affinity purified immunoglobulin. Lyophilized from phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. Reconstitute with 200 μL of sterile deionized water. Centrifuge antibody preparation before use (10,000 xg for 5 min).

Storage and Stability

Maintain lyophilized material at -20°C for up to 12 months after date of receipt. After reconstitution maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Analysis Note

Control
Included free of charge with the antibody is 40 μg of control antigen (lyophilized powder). The stock solution of the antigen can be made up using 100 μL of sterile deionized water. For negative control, preincubate 1 μg of protein with 1 μg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.

Other Notes

Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.

Recent work demonstrates that Alport glomerular disease is mediated through a biomechanical strain-sensitive activation of mesangial actin dynamics. This occurs through a Rac1/CDC42 cross-talk mechanism that results in the invasion of the subcapillary spaces by mesangial filopodia. The filopodia deposit

Previous studies have suggested that cerebrospinal fluid from patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) leads to pronounced vasoconstriction in isolated arteries. We hypothesized that only cerebrospinal fluid from SAH patients with vasospasm would produce an enhanced contractile response to endothelin-1 in

Recently, we have reported that LIM kinase 2 (LIMK2) involves programmed necrotic neuronal deaths induced by aberrant cyclin D1 expression following status epilepticus (SE). Up-regulation of LIMK2 expression induces neuronal necrosis by impairment of dynamin-related protein 1 (DRP1)-mediated mitochondrial fission.
