Specificity

Integrin alpha 4. Specificity determined by immunoprecipitation from a detergent extract of 35S methionine-labeled lymphoid cells. No cross-reactivity to alpha 1, alpha 2, alpha 3, alpha 5, alpha 6 or alpha V. The antibody recognizes an epitope on the cytoplasmic domain of the protein, and it is thus intracellular.

Immunogen

Epitope: cytoplasmic domain, C-terminus
Synthetic peptide derived from the COOH terminal sequence (cytoplasmic domain) of the human alpha 4 integrin subunit.

Application

Anti-Integrin α4 Antibody, cytoplasmic on C-terminus is an antibody against Integrin α4 for use in ELISA, IP, RIA, WB, IH.
ELISA/RIA: 1:1000.

Western blot: 1:1000, non-reduced conditions; blocking should be with 1-3% BSA. Recognizes a 140 kDa human alpha 4 band under non-reducing conditions.

Immunohistochemistry: 1:500

Immunoprecipitation: 5 μL of antibody is sufficient to precipitate alpha4 from 5x106 cells.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Patients with cholestatic liver disease experience increased fracture risk. Higher circulating levels of a fibronectin isoform called oncofetal fibronectin (oFN) were detected in a subset of such patients. Administering this isoform to mice suppresses osteoblast differentiation and diminishes bone mineral

It has been proposed that the metastasis suppressor CD82/KAI-1, which is a member of the tetraspanin superfamily, regulates biological activity by associating with cell surface receptors or proteins. We show a novel association between CD82 and the hepatocyte growth factor

Fibronectin is a multidomain protein secreted by various cell types. It forms a network of fibers within the extracellular matrix and impacts intracellular processes by binding to various molecules, primarily integrin receptors on the cells. Both the presence of several

We have previously demonstrated that the active form of vitamin D (calcitriol; 1,25(OH)2D3) is a potent inhibitor of retinal neovascularization. However, the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms involved remained poorly understood. Perivascular supporting cells including pericytes (PC) play important roles

Sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) is a biologically active sphingolipid that has pleiotropic effects in a variety of cell types including ECs, SMCs, and macrophages, all of which are central to the development of atherosclerosis. It may therefore exert stimulatory and inhibitory effects
