Specificity
Dopamine Receptor D1A. An antibody made to the D1R peptide has been shown to detect 2 proteins of 50 and 75 kDa in solubilized hippocampal membranes by Western blot. The 75 kDa band was not visible in striatum (Huang et al. 1992). Approximately 100-400 μg of protein/lane should be loaded to visualize the 75 kDa band. By immunohistochemistry D1R has been localized in various regions of the rat brain (Huang et al. 1992).
May recognize porcine or bovine (100 % similarity) or human (78% similarity).

Immunogen
A 13 amino acid peptide sequence (amino acids 403-415) from rat D1A (Monsma et al. 1990; Zhou et al. 1990; Zhou et al. 1992; O′Dowd et al. 1990). This peptide is predicted to be cytoplasmic.
Epitope: C-terminus, cytoplasmic
Application
Anti-Dopamine D1A Receptor Antibody, C-terminus, cytoplasmic is an antibody against Dopamine D1A Receptor for use in ELISA, IH & WB.

Immunohistochemistry: 2-10 μg/mL on paraformaldehyde fixed sections.
ELISA: 0.5-1.0 μg/mL (1 μg/mL D1A peptide (Cat. Number AG259)/well)
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Altered dopamine receptor labelling has been demonstrated in presymptomatic and symptomatic Huntington's disease (HD) gene carriers, indicating that alterations in dopaminergic signalling are an early event in HD. We have previously described early alterations in synaptic transmission and plasticity in

Dopamine (DA) transmission in the medial preoptic area (mPOA) plays a critical role in the control of appetitive sexual behaviour in the female rat. We have shown previously that a DA D1 receptor (D1R)-mediated excitatory state appears to occur in

Dopamine receptors (DARs) in the nucleus accumbens (NAc) are critical for cocaine's actions but the nature of adaptations in DAR function after repeated cocaine exposure remains controversial. This may be due in part to the fact that different methods used

Adverse environment in early life can modulate the adult phenotype, including blood pressure. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure in utero results in increased blood pressure in the offspring, but the exact mechanisms are not clear. Studies have shown that the renal dopamine

Dopamine receptors regulate exocytosis via protein-protein interactions (PPIs) as well as via adenylyl cyclase transduction pathways. Evidence has been obtained for PPIs in inner ear hair cells coupling D1A to soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF) attachment protein receptor (SNARE)-related proteins snapin
