Application
- Synthesis of gold nanoparticles: tert-Butylamine is employed in a one-step synthesis process to create alkanethiyl-stabilized gold nanoparticles, offering precise control over core size and monolayer functionality, enhancing the potential for nanotechnology applications in electronics and catalysis (Kay et al., 2023).
- Catalytic activity of silver nanoparticles: The compound facilitates the synthesis of mesoionic N-heterocyclic carbene-tethered silver nanoparticles, which exhibit enhanced stability and significant catalytic activity, crucial for chemical transformations and pharmaceutical synthesis (Nazemi et al., 2023).
- Improving colloidal stability: tert-Butylamine is used to improve the colloidal stability of temperature-sensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) solutions, which are vital in biomedical applications such as drug delivery systems and tissue engineering scaffolds (Labuta et al., 2018).
- Phosphate solubilisation: Research also includes its use in novel phosphate-solubilising bacteria isolated from sewage sludge, contributing to enhanced phosphate availability in environmental management and agriculture (Mo et al., 2019).
