General description

A nitric oxide (NO) donor similar to NOC-5 (Cat. No. 487950) and NOC-7 (Cat. No. 487952) but with a much longer half-life of NO release. Half-life (t½) in PBS, pH 7.4 is 327 minutes at 22°C. Inhibits the proliferation of arterial smooth muscle cells in a dose-dependent manner. Relatively stable in alkaline solution (pH ≥10.0).
