General description

Absorbance (3%, H2O, 260 and 280 nm):≤0.1%.
An ionic detergent useful in electrophoretic separation of proteins and lipids (absorbance: ≤0.1% at 280 nm, 3%, H2O; aggregation number: 62). Designed to reduce electrophoretic anomalies. Prepared from SDS (Cat. No. 428015) by a procedure that ensures the removal of contaminating salts and heavy metal ions. Contains C-10 and C-14 isomers. Has a CMC of 7-10 mM and a micellar weight of 18,000.
