General description

A fluorescent labeling agent used to label antibodies, lectins, toxins, various proteins, and oligopeptides with fluorescein. FITC-antibody conjugates are useful in many applications, including flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry (excitation maximum = 492 nm; emission maximum = 520 nm). λ max: 492 ± 3 nm (pH 9). Fluorescence EMmax: 520 ± 3 nm (pH 9).
Popular derivative of fluorescein. Can be used to label antibodies and other proteins.
