General description

Membrane-permeable form of the Ca2+-chelating agent EGTA.
Membrane-permeable version of the Ca2+-chelating agent EGTA (Cat. No. 324625). Induces apoptosis in pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells.

Application

  • Arresting calcium-regulated sperm metabolic dynamics enables prolonged fertility in poultry liquid semen storage.: Researchers explored the effects of calcium regulation on sperm metabolism, demonstrating that EGTA/AM can arrest calcium dynamics, significantly enhancing the storage and fertility of poultry semen. This finding could have broad implications for agricultural practices and poultry breeding programs (Sushadi et al., 2023).
