General description

Anti-Dopamine D4 Receptor, rabbit polyclonal, recognizes ~48-51 kDa dopamine D4 receptor in rat brain. Does not cross-react with other dopamine receptors. It is validated for use in ELISA, WB & IHC.
Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied as lyophilized, undiluted serum. Recognizes the ~48-51 kDa D4 dopamine receptor.
Recognizes the ~48-51 kDa dopamine D4 receptor in rat brain. Does not cross-react with other dopamine receptors.

Immunogen

Human
a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 176-185 of human dopamine D₄ receptor

Application

ELISA (see comments)

Immunoblotting (1:500)

Immunohistochemistry (1:10,000)

Warning

Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)

Physical form

Undiluted serum.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute the lyophilized antibody with 100 µl PBS containing 10 mg/ml BSA. For further dilution of the antiserum use a similar buffer formulation. Following reconstitution, refrigerate (4°C). Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.

This antibody has also been reported to work for ELISA. For blocking immunoblot membranes, use ONLY 4% goat serum or evaporated goat′s milk. For immunohistochemistry, a 1:10,000 dilution of the reconstituted serum demonstrated specific staining of rat brain sections including olfactory bulb glomeruli, cortex layer 4, cortex layers 2 and 3 (dendrite staining), cortex layer 5 (apical dendrite staining), and the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus (diffuse staining in the molecular layer, punctuate staining in the granule cell layer).
