General description

A cell-permeable pyrimidine compound that potently induces the differentiation of ESCs (embryonic stem cells) into cardiomyocytes (EC50 = 100 nM) without significant cytotoxic effect even at concentrations as high as 25 µM. The induction of cardiomyogenesis by Cardiogenol C is much more efficient than that achieved by EBs (embryoid bodies) formation and DMSO treatment.
A cell-permeable pyrimidine compound that potently induces the differentiation of embryonic stem cells (ESCs) into cardiomyocytes (EC50 = 100 nM). Does not exhibit cytotoxic effects even at concentrations as high as 25 µM. The induction of cardiomyogenesis by Cardiogenol C is reported to be more efficient than that achieved by embryoid bodies (EBs) and DMSO treatment.
