General description

Tryptic Soy Agar is a complex nutrient rich medium designed to determine the total microbial count ( bacteria, yeast and molds) on dry and sanitized surfaces of isolators and clean rooms. The medium is supplemented with pyruvate, which efficiently neutralizes the presence of hydrogen peroxide used during decontamination of isolators. The neutralizers lecithin, polysorbate Tween®80, histidine, and sodium thiosulfate inactivate possible active agents of disinfectants. The plates are triple bagged, and gamma irradiated in the final packaging and used for surface and personnel monitoring in sterile production area.

Application

Tryptic Soy Agar with LTHThio - ICR contact plates are designed to monitor and determine the total microbial count on dry, sanitized surfaces and personnel in isolators and clean rooms.
