General description

This refill pack contains all the reagents for the MQuant® test kits 1.14792 and 1.14410 for the colorimetric evaluation of silicate. When the reagents of the MQuant® test are used up, the kit can be replenished by ordering the appropriate refill pack. Refill packs are available for a range of MQuant® test kits, making it a particularly economical and ecological system.

Method
In sulfuric solution silicate ions react with molybdate ions to form a yellow heteropoly acid. This is reduced to silicomolybdenum blue. The silicate concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual colorimetric evaluation.
