General description

Method: reflectometric 1.0 - 25.0 mg/l K Reflectoquant® plus
With this Reflectoquant test potassium can be measured as turbidity reflectometrically in drinking water, groundwater and surface water. Special applications for determination in soil are available. In alkaline solution potassium ions react with Kalignost (sodium tetraphenylborate) to form a slightly soluble precipitate. The resulting turbidity is evaluated reflectometrically on the RQflex. For pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the potassium concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using this quantitative method we recommend our semi-quantitative MQuant test strips for potassium. Further quantitative determination methods can be found with our Spectroquant tests.
