General description

Method: colorimetric with color card and comparator block with long test tubes 0.05 - 0.08 - 0.12 - 0.16 - 0.20 - 0.25 - 0.3 - 0.4 - 0.5 mg/l Cu MQuant®
The MQuant® Copper test (formally MColortest®) measures copper(II) ions in
  • Groundwater, surface water, and seawater
  • Drinking water
  • Wastewater and percolating water
  • Boiler and boiler feed water, cooling water
  • Electroplating wastewater
  • Food and beverages after appropriate sample pretreatment
  • Swimming-pool water

Method
In an ammoniacal medium copper(II) ions react with cuprizone to form a blue complex. The copper concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the color of the measurement solution with the color fields of a color card. By the addition of hydrogen peroxide copper(I) ions can be measured at the same time.
The unique brilliance of the print and their fine color graduation allow precise analyses, even at the lower end of the concentration range.
Using the refill pack 1.18459 containing all the reagents, the original test kit can be used for a very long time, making it a particularly economical and ecological system.
