General description
NutriSelect® plus Anaerobic Agar is specifically designed for the surface cultivation of Clostridia spp and other anaerobic microorganisms. The medium is supplemented with series of reducing agents like thioglycolate, sulfoxylate formaldehydeand cystine which ensures complete anaerobiosis during the incubation period. The anaerobic environment is indicated by a redox indicator, methylene blue, which turns colorless during the absence of oxygen. The microbes are cultivated using pour plate method and should be incubated using Anaerocult™ systems.
Application
NutriSelect® plus Anaerobic Agar is used to detect anaerobic microorganisms like Clostridia spp in test samples using pour plate method.
Footnote
We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.
