General description

The Wnt family consists of ligands involved in cell fate determination, organogenesis, and oncogenesis. The Wnt signal is thought to be transduced sequentially via a homolog of the frizzled family of receptors to GSK-3 (disheveled), β- and γ- catenin and finally to members of the Tcf/Lef-1 family of HMG box transcription factors. Frizzled 5 is believed to function as the receptor for the Wnt5a ligand.

Specificity

Frizzled 5 (aka Fz5 or Fzd5)

Immunogen

Epitope: C-Terminus
KLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide derived from amino acids 564-585 of human Frizzled 5 (CTGRTPPGPAATYHKQVSLSHV).

Application

Anti-Frizzled 5 Antibody is an antibody against Frizzled 5 for use in WB.
