General description

A certified reference standard suitable as a starting material for preparation of calibrators and controls in GC/MS or LC/MS testing applications with pharmaceutical research, clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, or forensic analysis. Marketed and sold under the trade name Rozerem®, ramelteon is a newer sleep aid approved by the FDA for treatment of insomnia, particularly delayed sleep onset. The drug′s mode of action is unique for a sleep drug in that it does not bind to GABA receptors like the nonbenzodiazepines zolpidem, zopiclone, and zaleplon.
