General description

This certified Snap-N-Spike® solution is suitable for use as a starting material in calibrators and controls for numerous GC/MS or LC/MS applications in forensic analysis, clinical toxicology and urine drug testing. As a major metabolite, 7-aminoclonazepam may be used to monitor use of the parent drug, clonazepam. Clonazepam, marketed as Klonopin® and Rivotril, is a long-acting benzodiazepine with anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, and hypnotic properties.

Biosensors & bioelectronics, 24(7), 2051-2056 (2008-12-09)
The present paper described a rapid and ultrasensitive detection method using a microfluidic chip for analyzing 7-aminoclonazepam (7-ACZP) residues in human urine. A microfluidic chip-based immunoassay with laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) detection based on the water-soluble denatured bovine serum albumin (dBSA)-coated
D R Peng et al.
Pediatric pharmacology (New York, N.Y.), 4(3), 155-159 (1984-01-01)
The N-acetylation of the reduced metabolite of clonazepam 7-amino-clonazepam was studied in cytosolic preparation from human fetal and adult livers. The metabolite formed 7-acetamido-clonazepam was measured with high performance liquid chromatography. A bimodal distribution of the N-acetyltransferase activities was observed

Clonazepam (CLO) is an anticonvulsant benzodiazepine approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in the treatment of seizures. It produces pharmacological effects (depression, amnesia) similar to other compounds from the same therapeutic class, and in combination with alcohol
Adam Negrusz et al.
Analytical and bioanalytical chemistry, 376(8), 1198-1204 (2003-07-08)
The objective of this paper was to determine how long after administration of benzodiazepine clonazepam (CLO), its major metabolite 7-aminoclonazepam (7-ACLO) could be detected in urine collected from 10 healthy volunteers who received a single 3-mg dose of Klonopin (clonazepam).
