General description

Acetaminophen is formed as a metabolic product of phenacetin and is a well-known drug used in the treatment of pain and fever due to its effective central analgesic and antipyretic properties. It is also the only analgesic drug that is non-opioid and available in the oral, rectal, and intravenous formulation forms. It has been posited to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and exhibit a mode of action similar to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Application

Acetaminophen Impurity Mixture solution may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography techniques.
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
