Application

MVL5 has been used in liposome preparation.

Biochem/physiol Actions

MVL5 is a cationic lipid and is a pentavalent molecule. It is combined with 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-ethylphosphocholine (DOPC) in liposome formulation, for efficient gene transfection. It is considered less toxic.
