Application

16:0 CDP DG (1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-(cytidine diphosphate)) may be used in liposome preparation.

Biochem/physiol Actions

16:0 CDP DG (1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-(cytidine diphosphate)) acts as a substrate for phosphatidylserine synthase (Pss) to produce cytidine 5′?monophosphate. CDP-diacylglycerol is a derivate of diacylglycerol. It serves as a precursor for the synthesis of essential glycerophospholipids such as the phosphatidylinositides. Altered CDP-diacylglycerol signaling might lead to depression.

A hybrid bilayer lipid membrane (hBLM), constructed with a 1-hexadecanethiol self-assembled interior leaflet and a 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-cytidine nucleolipid exterior leaflet, was deposited at the surface of a gold (111) electrode. This system was used to investigate the molecular recognition reaction between

Major depression is a serious mood disorder affecting millions of adults and children worldwide. While the etiopathology of depression remains obscure, antidepressant medications increase synaptic levels of monoamine neurotransmitters in brain regions associated with the disease. Monoamine transmitters activate multiple

Phosphatidylserine synthase (Pss) is involved in the metabolic pathway in phospholipid synthesis in different organisms. In this study, Pss expression in Vibrio parahaemolyticus was verified through liquid chromatography tandem-mass spectrometry. To analyze the characteristics of Pss, the recombinant Pss was
