General description

C18:1 anandamide phosphate is a phosphate ester of C18:1 anandamide. C18:1 anandamide, also known as N-oleoyl ethanolamide phosphate, is a N-acyl ethanolamide derivative of oleic acid. It is one of the major N-acylethanolamines (NAEs) in animal tissues.

Biochem/physiol Actions

C18:1 anandamide or N-oleoyl ethanolamide exhibits appetite-suppressing activity by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-α or the G protein-coupled receptor 119 (GPR119).

Ethanolamides of different long-chain fatty acids constitute a class of endogenous lipid molecules generally called N-acylethanolamines (NAEs). They contain N-arachidonoylethanolamine (anandamide), N-palmitoylethanolamine, and N-oleoylethanolamine, which receive considerable attention because of their actions as an endogenous cannabinoid receptor ligand (endocannabinoid), an
