General description

20:4 Lyso PI or 1-arachidonoyl-2-hydroxy-sn-glycero-3-phosphoinositol (ammonium salt) is an ammonium salt of phosphoinositol, with substitution of arachidonic acid at the sn-1 position of the glycerol backbone.
Increased circulating levels of L-alpha-lysophosphatidylinositol (LPI) are associated with cancer and LPI is a potent ligand for the G-protein-coupled receptor GPR55.

Application

20:4 Lyso PI or has been used as a lipid standard for optimization of the liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method conditions.
