General description

Lysophosphatidyletnolamine (LPE), an enigmatic lipid of bacteria is obtained from phosphatidylethanolamine during various fluctuations of the bacterial growth conditions.[1]

Application

18:1 Lyso PE is suitable for use in the synthesis of lipid molecules.[2] It is also suitable to use as a standard in the study of systematic optimization of hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HILIC/MS) separation of acidic lipid classes.[3]
