General description

TopFluor® TMR PE is an acyl-chain-modified fluorescent phospholipid. L-α-Phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is a membrane phospholipid and is the second most abundant phospholipid in animals, plants and yeast. It is the major lipid in bacteria.

Application

TopFluor® TMR PE is suitable to use as a component of vesicle and a donor-acceptor for fluorescence quenching. It is also suitable for the formation of lipid membrane.

Biochem/physiol Actions

L-α-Phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is essential for maintaining the structural integrity of membranes. TopFluor® TMR PE is useful for cellular labelling.
