General description
PI(3,4,5)P3 (diacylphosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate) is restricted to the cell membrane of inner leaflet. TopFluor® PI(3,4,5)P3 is a fluorescently labeled-phosphoinositide derivative containing saturated acyl chain.
Phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate (PI(3,4,5)P3) is an inadequate phospholipid present on the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane.
Biochem/physiol Actions
PI(3,4,5)P3 (diacylphosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate) serves as a substrate for PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog), a tumor suppressor protein. It has binding affinity towards the active site of phosphatase domain. TopFluor® PI(3,4,5)P3 might be useful in monitoring protein induced phosphoinositide clustering. This product is considered photostable than other fluorophores.
Phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate (PI(3,4,5)P3) plays a key role in inducing the cluster of Syntaxin1A at presynaptic terminals. It also regulates the activity protein kinase B/Akt.
