General description

Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PI4P) is a precursor of phosphatidylinositol (4,5)-bisphosphate [PI(4,5)P2]. It is present in the membranes of Golgi apparatus.

Application

TopFluor® PI(4)P has been used as fluorescently labeled phosphoinositide to examine phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase and dual-specificity protein phosphatase (PTEN) interaction with anionic lipids.

Packaging

2 mL Amber Serum Vial with Stopper and Crimp Cap (810185P-50ug)

Phosphatidylinositol phosphate (PIP) lipids are critical to many cell signaling pathways, in part by acting as molecular beacons that recruit peripheral membrane proteins to specific locations within the plasma membrane. Understanding the biophysics of PIP-protein interactions is critical to developing
