General description

24-Methylene cholesterol is an intermediate produced in process of β-Sitosterol synthesis. 24-Methylene cholesterol is synthesised by 2-C-methyl-D-erythritol-4-phosphate (MEP) pathway. This compound is also referred as C30 terpenoid and is a precursor for withanolides.
