General description

Heart Extract Polar is a natural lipid. Polar Lipid Extract is derived from the total lipid extract by precipitation with acetone followed by extraction of the acetone insoluble material with diethyl ether.

Application

Heart Extract Polar is suitable for use
  • as a component of lipid mixture for mimicking mammalian cellular membrane and in synchrotron small-angle X-ray diffraction measurements
  • for spiking mobilograms for phosphaltidyl choline 18:1/18:1 in ion-mobility spectrometry- time of flight measurements(IMS-TOF)
  • in the preparation of large unilamellar vesicles
