Application

Calcium fluoride are essential optical materials used in ultraviolet (UV) and deep-ultraviolet (DUV) lithography, as well as in high-power laser applications. Our anhydrous calcium fluoride, boasting a remarkable purity of 99.99% on a trace metals basis, can be used as

-A biomedical material due to its excellent biocompatibility, biodegradability, antibacterial activity and antibiofilm properties. It has been tested for wound healing when used in hydrogels, for 19F magnetic resonance imaging when doped with Mn2+, and for biomedical imaging when doped with Tb3+/Gd3+. It has also been explored for targeted labeling of cancer cells when doped with Eu3+. However, due to its high fluorine content, most studies focus on its potential in dental applications.

-A precursor for synthesizing 3-D colloidal core-shell heterostructured CaF2:Dy@NaYF4 persistent luminescence nanocrystals, which can enhance persistent luminescence under both light and X-ray excitations.

Features and Benefits

  • Longer shelf-life as a free-flowing powder without addition of anti-caking agents
  • Slower absorption of environmental moisture
  • Faster dissolution compared to clumped materials
  • No need to chip, chisel, or grind clumped salts.

General description

Our anhydrous calcium fluoride, boasting a remarkable purity of 99.99% on a trace metals basis, is a premium white, free-flowing, water-insoluble powder with impurities below 150.0 ppm. This exceptional purity makes it an excellent source of fluoride for manufacturing high-quality optical components, including windows and lenses. Transparent across a broad spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared frequencies, our calcium fluoride is ideally suited for a variety of optical applications. The high purity of our material enhances its performance, ensuring superior clarity and efficiency in optical systems. Choose our 99.99% pure anhydrous calcium fluoride for optimal results in your applications, leveraging the benefits of unmatched quality and reliability. We packaged Calcium fluoride, anhydrous, powder in our innovative Redi Dri packaging, which easily can prevent the absorption of moisture. The packaging has distinct features and advantages to protect the salts from moisture.
