General description

Super C65 is a widely used conductive additive, crucial in the production of electrodes for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. It is a form of carbon black with a distinctive roughly spherical particle morphology and an average size of about 50 nanometers. The name "Super C65" denotes its surface area of approximately 65 square meters per gram—a key feature of its design.
Super C45 conductive additive improves electrical conductivity and charge transfer in battery electrodes, enhancing overall battery performance and lifespan. Its application supports greener technologies by promoting energy-efficient, durable, and sustainable energy storage systems with reduced environmental impact. Click here for more information.

Application

Super C65, a conductive additive, is integral to improving electronic conductivity and mitigating electrode polarization within both anode and cathode films. It is blended into the electrode slurry at a ratio of 3 to 10 percent by weight. During the mixing process, applying high shear rates is recommended to ensure Super C65′s small carbon particles are evenly distributed, effectively breaking up agglomerates and forming a conductive network around the particles of the active material. Compared to Super C45, Super C65 can produce coatings with superior electronic conductivity, an advantage particularly meaningful for batteries in fast-charging applications.
